Who is Om Prasadam?
Om Prasadam is a rice supplier, wholesaler and miller based in Karnal, Haryana. Within India we sell to everyone: households buying a single 5kg or 10kg pack for the kitchen, and trade buyers taking tonnes at a time. Rice is milled on our own line, packed from 1kg consumer bags up to 50kg sacks under our label or yours, and delivered by road across the country. The same lots are exported under APEDA registration to importers in the Gulf.

Quality control
What actually happens to your grain before it ships
Buying rice at wholesale is mostly an exercise in trusting a number on a slip of paper. We would rather show the work. Paddy is procured from mandis in Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, and every incoming truck is checked for moisture and admixture before it is allowed to unload.
- Moisture at intake. Anything above the contracted range is rejected at the gate rather than dried into your order.
- Ageing before milling. Basmati paddy is stored a minimum of twelve months, which is what gives the grain its elongation on cooking.
- Sortex colour sorting. Two passes remove discoloured, chalky and immature grains along with any foreign matter.
- Lot-wise analysis. Grain length, broken percentage, moisture and purity are recorded per lot and travel with the consignment.
- Residue testing. Pesticide-free lots are tested at NABL-accredited laboratories against more than 350 residues.
- Sealed packing. Food-grade PP bags with inner liners, stitched and stencilled with batch and lot number for traceability.

Buying rice from us in India
There is no minimum for household buyers in India — you can order a single 1kg, 5kg, 10kg or 25kg pack and we will ship it. For trade and wholesale orders the minimum is one tonne of a single variety, which is 40 bags of 25kg or 20 bags of 50kg. Mixed-variety trade loads start at three tonnes, and a full truckload is usually 9 to 25 tonnes depending on the vehicle.
Yes. In India we sell both to businesses and directly to households. Individual buyers can order any variety in 1kg, 5kg, 10kg, 20kg or 25kg packs at mill-direct prices, with doorstep delivery in serviced cities and courier or transport dispatch everywhere else. There is no minimum order and no need for a GST number to buy as a household.
We supply Basmati varieties including 1121, Pusa, 1509, 1401 and 1718 in raw, steam, sella and golden sella forms, and Non-Basmati varieties including Sona Masoori, IR 64, Sharbati, Sugandha, PR 11 and Parmal. A Pesticide Residue Free range is milled on a separate line for buyers who need documented zero-MRL lots.
Standard packing is 25kg and 50kg PP bags with an inner liner. We also pack 5kg, 10kg and 20kg consumer bags, non-woven and jute sacks, and private-label bags printed with your own brand from three tonnes per design onward.
We dispatch across India by road from our Haryana mill, with regular movement to Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. Buyers in Gujarat and West Bengal are served through container and truckload consignments, and rail movement can be arranged for orders above 100 tonnes.
Domestic orders are usually placed with 25 to 30 percent advance and the balance against the dispatch documents or delivery. Established buyers with a repeat record can be extended credit terms after account review. Export orders are handled on irrevocable letter of credit at sight or advance TT.
Yes. We hold APEDA registration and an Importer Exporter Code, our unit is FSSAI licensed and ISO 22000 certified, and lots destined for export are tested for pesticide residues at NABL-accredited laboratories. Halal certification is issued per consignment for Gulf shipments.
